Betty and David Koetser Foundation for Brain Research

The Betty and David Koetser Foundation supports clinical and basic research in the field of brain research with focus on the investigation of movement disorders and neuropsychology as well as other research areas in which a successful exchange of ideas between basic research and clinical application was established.

Since 2010 Prof. Fritjof Helmchen is the president of the board of the foundation.

The Betty and David Koetser Foundation awards Research Grants to support neuroscience projects (see below for details).
Additonally, outstanding achievements in Neuroscience are honored annually by the Betty and David Koetser Award for Brain Research.

Annual Memorial Lecture

The 2017 Betty and David Koetser Award for Brain Research will be given to Prof. G.M. Halmagyi from the University of Sydney, AUstralia. The Memorial Lecture will take place on Thursday, 14 September 2017.

Research Grants

The Betty and David Koetser Foundation supports predominantly brain research performed at the Clinic for Neurology of the University Hospital Zurich and, in second instance, brain research in Switzerland.

Note: The next round of funding of research projects will be in 2019.
