Clinical trial with anti-Nogo antibodies
In collaboration with the European clinical research team NISCI (www.nisci-2020.eu), we conducted a clinical trial with human anti-human antibodies against Nogo-A in acutely injured tetraplegic patients. In earlier study, anti-Nogo-A antibody was proven to be safe, well tolerable and feasible, and the pharmacokinetics showed no abnormalities (Kucher et al., 2018). Based on these promising results, a placebo-controlled phase 2 “proof-of-concept study” is currently conducted in a number of leading European spinal cord injury centers.
